Ellis O’Connor is bringing one of her extremely popular outdoor drawing workshops from the Outer Hebrides to the Cairngorms. We are delighted to be offering this workshop for the first time with Ellis, recipient of the Royal Scottish Academy Landscape Award 2015. She will be exhibiting at The Laundry Gallery in March-April 2019.
You will be working en plein air with a variety of media on paper – this might include acrylic paints, charcoal, conte, water based inks, oil pastel and chalk pastels – to capture the wild beauty of the Cairngorms landscape and skies.
This workshop has a maximum size of 10 students and will take place from 10am-4pm with a break for a hot lunch. There will be temporary shelter available, but students should be prepared for a day in the Scottish Highland weather – whatever form that that may take…
This promises to be an inspirational and dynamic two days of drawing in an extraordinary setting. Materials will be included, but in addition students are also asked to bring a sketchbook of their own choice. Two days tuition, hot lunch and refreshments, materials – £150.
