The Laundry Gallery's inaugural exhibition

Our launch exhibition opened to the public on 8th December, and features landscapes and seascapes in oils by Claire Wiltsher, Felicity Keefe and Lee Bissett, and life drawings by Kenneth Le Riche.

Casting Light (80 x 80cm) by Claire Wiltsher

Claire Wiltsher is based in the New Forest and produces her land and seascapes using fragments of collage and drawing materials over the top of dried oil paint and other media. She has exhibited all over the UK and two of her paintings form part of the House of Lords permanent collection.

Felicity Keefe works from her studio in Bath; her beautifully atmospheric and brooding paintings reflect how landscape changes over time and through the seasons. Her work has been shown all over the world from Stockholm to Singapore.

Lee Bissett is a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, but only began painting in oils in 2015. Lee's paintings are inspired by the landscapes in the north of Scotland, captured the mysterious and foreboding atmosphere of this land in her work.

Since graduating from Edinburgh College of Art and then the New York Academy of Art, Kenneth Le Riche has taught at Leith School of Art, Edinburgh College of Art, Bridgehouse Art, and Amagansett Applied Arts and The East Harlem School (New York). He will be tutoring at our life drawing weekend 3-4 February.

The opening exhibition runs to  January 27th. Please browse our launch images below.
